Queer Crochet Evening – IDAHOBIT

Come and join us on Friday the 17th of May at 18:30 to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia – IDAHOBIT. This is the day when we celebrate gender and sexual diversity together.

It is also the day when we remember that although in an increasing number of countries, the LGBTIQ+ community is enjoying more rights, millions in different parts of the world, still experience discrimination, stigma, violence and abuse, imprisonment, and even death.

This year we will be celebrating IDAHOBIT in a different way. We will meet at our premises @67, Strait Street, Valletta for some fun with rainbow-themed crochet creations.

The event will be facilitated by Claria who will give a short presentation about crochet and then she will demonstrate some simple steps to create our own rainbow heart key chains.

We will be providing the rainbow yarn and some hooks.

To mark your attendance and to be sure you are provided with the necessary materials, please fill in this form: https://forms.gle/ooUTWZPBLx2QBUCS8

Those who have their own hooks are encouraged to bring them. And people who are already quite familiar to crochet are welcome to join for a community crochet session without following the presentation.

There will be some food to share and drinks at the bar. The event is free of charge, but a small donation would be appreciated.
