On Monday 19th December, at some point in the afternoon, a vote will be held in Parliament on the second reading of Bill 28 – a new law that will allow termination of dangerous pregnancies that put women’s lives or health at grave risk. It is essential that this vote passes so that Bill 28 continues on its way to become law.
At 3pm we will be giving a press conference in front of Parliament together with other NGOs of the Voice for Choice coalition. We will also remain in front of Parliament until the vote is taken, to encourage MPs to vote in favour of this essential law that protects the lives and health of women.
Although this is not a rally because the time of the vote is inconvenient to many people, those who can make it to Valletta at that time can join us as we mark this important milestone in Malta’s women’s rights history.
