Nistednukom tingħaqdu magħna s-Sibt 13 t’Awwissu għal vjaġġ sa Kemmuna, fejn għal darb’oħra se neħilsu lill-Blue Lagoon mill-interessi kummerċjali u neżerċitaw id-dritt tagħna li ngawdu dan il-ġmiel ta’ post.
Se nkunu qegħdin nivjaġġaw għall-Blue Lagoon permezz ta’ dgħajjes li krejna apposta li se jitilqu miċ-Ċirkewwa, Malta, u mill-Imġarr, Għawdex fit-8 ta’ filgħodu.
Biex tibbukkja post fuq id-dgħajsa, trid tirreġistra fuq www.comino.movimentgraffitti.org u tixtri biljett għall-prezz imraħħas ta’ €11.
Se jkun hemm vjaġġi lura minn Kemmuna f’ħinijiet diversi waranofsinhar.
Tinsiex iġġib ix-xugamani, l-umbrelel u l-plakards bil-messaġġ tiegħek lill-awtoritajiet. Inħeġġuk ukoll biex iġġib x’tiekol u ħafna ilma miegħek biex ma npaxxux lill-ħafna gabbani li kkapparraw kull m’hemm u rvinaw l-atmosfera tal-post bil-mużika storbjuża tagħhom.
Għalfejn se nerġgħu mmorru Kemmuna
Wara l-ewwel azzjoni tagħna biex nieħdu lura l-Blue Lagoon mingħand dawk li jikru d-deckchairs f’Ġunju li għadda, ittamajna li l-Gvern se jieħu azzjoni sinifikanti biex jillimita l-kummerċjalizzazzjoni estensiva li effettivament bidlet din il-ġmiel ta’ bajja f’lido privat.
Sfortunatament, l-unika azzjoni li ħadu l-awtoritajiet kienet li ma ħallewx it-tqegħid ta’ deckchairs fuq ir-ramla ż-żgħira, ġest simboliku li tefa’ l-problemi l-oħrajn kollha li hemm Kemmuna taħt it-tapit.
Apparti minn dan, żewġ ittri li bgħatna lill-ħames ministri responsabbli minn Kemmuna lanqas biss ġew imwieġba, filwaqt li l-Ministru tat-Turiżmu Clayton Bartolo ħarab mill-mistoqsijiet li ġie mistoqsi fuq din il-kwistjoni fil-parlament.
Għalhekk se nerġgħu nerħulha għal Kemmuna – din id-darba bil-pubbliku magħna – biex insostnu t-talbiet tagħna u biex nagħtu messaġġ li mhux se naċċettaw li niġu injorati.

We invite you to join us on a trip to Comino on Saturday 13th August, during which we will once again liberate the Blue Lagoon from commercial interests and exercise our right to enjoy this beautiful place.
We will be travelling to Blue Lagoon via chartered boats, leaving from Ċirkewwa, Malta, and Mġarr, Gozo at 8am sharp.
To book your place, you’ll need to register from www.comino.movimentgraffitti.org and purchase your ticket for the discounted price of €11.
Return trips will be scheduled throughout the afternoon.
Don’t forget your towels, umbrellas and placards with your message to the authorities. We also strongly encourage you to bring your own food and plenty of water, so as not to give business to the many kiosks that have also taken over the area and ruined the atmosphere of the place with loud music.
Why are we going to Comino again
After our first action to reclaim the Blue Lagoon from deckchair operators back in June, we hoped the government would take significant action to limit the over-commercialisation that has effectively turned this paradise into a private lido.
Sadly, the only action the authorities have taken is to ban deckchairs from the small sandy beach, a token gesture intended to sweep all the other problems on Comino under the carpet.
What’s more, two letters we sent to the five ministers who are responsible for the management of Comino have been left unanswered, while tourism minister Clayton Bartolo deflected questions on the matter put to him in parliament.
And so we head to Comino – this time with the public by our side – to reiterate our demands and show that we will not be ignored.
